What you need

1. A shop in Toronto or the GTA

   Barbers, salons, cafés, restaurants, laundromats, convenience stores, auto shops, clinics — anywhere people wait or queue.

2. A screen

   Most of our hosts simply use the TV already on their wall. Any smart TV works, and so does an ordinary TV with a streaming stick plugged into it.

   Not sure whether yours will work? Tell us the make and model and we will check for you.

3. A power socket and Wi-Fi

   The screen needs to stay switched on and online while you are open. That is the only thing we ask of you day to day.

How to join

1. Get in touch

   Call or text 437 600 4351, email hello@adsvercity.com, or send us a message through the contact form. Tell us what your business is and roughly how many people come through each day.

2. We confirm the details with you

   We talk through where the screen goes, what gets shown, and answer anything you want to ask. Nothing to sign on the spot.

3. Setting it up is easy

   Your screen only has to open one web page and stay on it — that is the whole setup. We send you the link and walk you through it, and most hosts are up and running in a few minutes.

   If you would rather we come and set it up for you, we can — an installation fee may apply, and we will tell you the cost before anything is arranged.

4. Your screen appears in your account

   Sign in and go to Dashboard → My Screens. You can see whether your screen is online, which ads are running on it, and open the screen in a browser yourself.

5. Connect your bank to get paid

   On the same page, click Connect your bank to get paid. You will be taken to Stripe — our payment provider — to enter your bank details. Your bank information goes straight to Stripe and is never stored on our website.

6. Earn from every ad on your screen

   Each time a local business buys a banner or video on your screen, you earn a share of what they pay. Your earnings build up in My Screens, and you can cash out to your bank once your balance reaches $25.
